Excerpt:

For all practical purposes, the number and variety of elements that will compose ORB is unlimited, and their nature will change as technological capacities and instructional applications increase. For the moment, however, it is essential to provide a basic core collection.

Annotation:

This University of Toronto site provides information about general science and technology during the Middle Ages - though information is weighted to the latter end of the Medieval period. The most useful pages here are those devoted to iron and steel smelting, four full-text manuscripts including works by Geber, Albertus Magnus and Johannes de Rupescissa, and a bibliography of over 100 secondary sources about the history of medieval science technology. The bibliography also includes resources about non-Western science and technology during this period. Links to related sites are provided.
