Annotation:

The Computer History Museum has online exhibits for interested visitors and specialists, as well as resources for researchers. "Visible Storage: Samples from the Collection" is a true online exhibit, with an overview, text, and images in sections starting with "Ancient-1940s" to "1970s-1990s." The "Timeline of History of Computing from 1945-1990" has brief text and images for various aspects of the time period, searchable by year or by subject, including Computers, People & Pop Culture, Software, Components, Robots & AI, Networks, and Companies. "Internet History, 1962-1992" provides more details about the development of the Internet along with larger images. "Microprocessors, 1971-1996" is an online version of a poster developed for the museum. Designed to look like a microprocessor, it presents the various products of companies over time. "Curator's Choice" features ten artifacts from the permanent collection, and the Hall of Fellows provides biographies of more than 20 individuals who contributed to the development of computing. Finally, the Document Archive has more than ten documents available in PDF format in an index, or listed by subject category. A search of the artifact collection provides catalog entries but no images.
