Excerpt:

Manuscripts and Archives is a major Yale center for historical documentation, promoting and sustaining the research and teaching missions of the University, and serving as the documentary memory of the Yale community. The resources and services of Manuscripts and Archives are available to all members of the Yale community as well as to researchers from outside the University who wish to make use of them.

Annotation:

The website for Yale University Manuscripts and Archives offers users a number of tools for finding information and preparing for a visit. The site contains a collections overview with brief descriptions of each series. The Manuscripts and Archives Digital Images Database (MADID) offers a few images of photographs, artwork, drawings, and text from many of the collections. There is also information on making requests and research inquiries.
