National Air and Space Museum
This is a vast site with a number of components - featured exhibits, collections, educational information, and links. The featured exhibits focus on certain historical events or issues, such as African-Americans in aviation history or Apollo. The museum galleries are all available online as well. The collections include 360-degree virtual views inside space modules or planes in the museum, and summaries and images of space artifacts and aircraft. You can also watch artifact restoration in progress in real time via a web cam, or read the history and reference resources. The educational sections of the site include geography from space, satellite images of the United States, and exploring the planets of the solar system. A number of resources for teachers are also available.
Young Astronauts Council
The Young Astronauts Council is federally-mandated program that offers integrated, multimedia educational programs about space. There is an educational curriculum guide for grades called "Mission: Science," and the twice-weekly television program "Space School." They produce CD-Roms, and the website has an online forum and community component, in addition to materials for after-school clubs. The website is divided into 2 separate sections, for kids and adults.

The National Weather Service offers radar images of Columbia Shuttle path of descent across the southern United States.

Space.com
This site has it all - news, informational articles, and images. There are also very active message boards and sections of the site devoted to space flight, science and astronomy, technology, and image collections. Because the site is a component of Space Holding Corp., their consumer CDs, DVDs, and software are also advertised on the site.
European Space Agency
The European Space Agency exists through a multi-national collaborative effort, and there is a clear introduction into purposes and goals of the agency. There are also roughly 1,000 images and videos available. The website's focus is on the benefits of space exploration for Europe and the world in general, including improvements in daily life and protecting the environment. The NASA website provides a wealth of information, with several sections directed to specific audiences, namely kids, students, educators, and the press. There are articles about improving life on Earth, space exploration, and the study of the universe, including the possibility of life beyond our planet. News from different missions and events are featured. Career opportunities are described for students, recent graduates, educators, and professionals. The site is immense, but not difficult to navigate.

Kennedy Space Center
