This web site is designed as a glimpse at the story that is told within the museum. The site has now grown to nearly 25 Mb's and ninety pages. New additions for this year include information on our recently completedLoco-shed, and a list of rolling stock and equipment kept inside, and close by the shed. The Photographs of children who have recently visited the museum are very popular, while the oral history page is still receiving praise in our many e.mails we receieve about the site.

The material in this archive has been culled from USENET, BITNET, the ANE archive and personal correspondance (principally with Martin Stower of the University of Liverpool). To encourage a serious scientific debate I have tried to present a spectrum of opinions about Sitchin's work, from favorable (top) to skeptical (bottom). In the middle are some links to (conventional) scholarly resources to ancient Mesopotamia and astronomy. The opinions expressed are those of the authors, of course.

This is a partial list of some of the leading Muslims. Major Muslim contributions continued beyond the fifteenth century. Contributions of more than one hundred other major Muslim personalities can be found in several famous publications by Western historians.

Annotation:

This large site includes dozens of bibliographies of Muslim astronomers, zoologists, mathematicians, physicians and philosophers. Also included are a series of articles about Islamic science and its impact on European thought (written by various scholars). Though the site has a clear bias, the articles should still prove useful for scholars who need a dates, names, and places or for scholars just beginning to research the history of Muslim science. The site also includes information about Islam and a number of excerpts from the Koran.
