Catalyst

From ToolCenter

"The Catalyst Toolkit is a set of Web-based tools specifically developed to enhance student learning through collaboration and communication. The Tools allow you to quickly and easily place complex content on to the Web, and you can customize each tool to fit your needs. Once you've created your Tools you can modify them, get results, and see participation reports. While the Tools were created with some specific goals in mind, we encourage you to be creative when you use them.

The Catalyst Tools have two distinct interfaces: one for owners (faculty, staff, librarians, and teaching assistants) and one for participants (students, research subjects, etc). Owners have secure access to areas that allow them to create and edit tools and to view results and activity summaries. You become an owner by clicking on the "Login" button above and creating a personal account.

Participants have access to areas that allow them to interact with the Tools. Each Tool you create is given a unique URL, and participants access your Tools via these URLs.

Sometimes, you will want to limit access to your Tools to a select few participants (like a class list). You can use a variety of security options to password protect your Tools. You can create participant list(s) once and share them amongst all of the Tools."
