del.icio.us is social bookmarking software that allows a whole bunch of functionality:
- users can save bookmarks to any webpages, marking them with that allow for sorting based on user-defined categories (ethnoclassification)
- links can be viewed online or read as an RSS feed (and thus imported into other websites)
by choosing a unique tag, groups of users can build a shared, topical bookmark list.
